[30/01/08]
Rented a car – Fiat Punto for 55 bucks a day. Hehe. I never consulted my mum this time. Hesitated for sometime before making the final decision. I was discussing this issue with Jingmin online too and she insisted that I should rent it if only I’m brave enough. Haha. So I was brave indeed ya? :p
Drove her to KAP for dinner after renting the car at Turf City. Test the route to school as well just in case I couldn’t make it for the u-turn when driving to school tomorrow. Haha. Daddy came home awhile later and I decided to show him the car after walking round and round in the house. I thought he would scold me for not informing him but guess what? He got so excited and even asked me to drive him around! He wasn’t angry at me as he finds the amount reasonable as compared to the Mazda 3.
Drove him around the area and to my mum’s workplace to familiarize with the route so that I can fetch her after her work. I expected my mum to be nagging all the way home but she didn’t. Guess she’s enjoying the ride. Haha.
Went to look for piggy after that. Hehe. Din drove him around much cos I feel pressured when he’s sitting beside me and I’m the one driving! Stress stress. Haha. Felt so weird when returning to the car park cos he was the one walking at the left while I'm on the right normally. But it was the reverse this time round. Haha.
Dad bought parking coupons for me and handed me his spare cashcard just in case I might need it. As it's my first time, I thought that the colours of the parking coupon is meant to differentiate the time of use. As in orange for night time and purple for day (example). I thought it this way as my dad told me to use it when I returned home after meeting piggy. So "gundo" me din used it the next day when I returned home from school. And mum kept telling me to park it at ITE's car park as it's free. So I actually drove to ITE, parked my car, saw the coupon on the door's pocket, looked at the coupon instructions in detailed and drove back to my house car park. LOL. Then I went to look at other cars to double check if I can use the coupon. Haha. And realised, CAN! Omg.

Drove to school early in the morning for my IS lesson. Feel so fun when speeding on the highway with low traffic. Ops. Haha. Headed home for breakfast and study a lil before driving Miss Chee and Jingmin around. After that, drove back to school to get our blazer for the Grand Finals on Saturday. Almost driving non-stop today but I like. Haha.
Nearly got an “ang bao” while waiting for my mum to get ready for work cos I din put parking coupon. Lol. The story goes … I happened to look out of the kitchen’s window and saw “Fatimah” on duty at my car park. So I quickly rushed down and saw a guy running towards the lift with the car key on his hand too. Lol. But I really need to thank him. Reason why was that Fatimah was booking his car when I reached the car park. How lucky can I be! Haha.
Finally, I returned the car at evening time. Feel so nervous when the uncle was checking the car conditions as I saw a few (about 2) minor scratches on both of the right door before I returned it. I’m scared they will ask me to compensate it. Haha. Feel so retrieved after they told me I can go!

Networking session was crap as we just bluff our way through, pretending to introduce friends and interact with others. The same goes for Fine Dining too. Okie. I’m lazy to write on anymore. Jingmin is distracting me with the facebook’s games. Haha.

Had my last lesson of Human Communication today. It was fun and interesting as one of the groups did a puppet show for their presentation. The puppet show was amusing and I’m quite surprised that they put in a lot of efforts for this project. Reason why I say so was because all the group members are guys. I know this is stereotype but majority will have the same thinking as me isn’t it? Haha. But this group proves me wrong man. They always have been so enthusiastic in the class and making the class looks livelier.
I find it pity that our group started to bond with them only during the last lesson. That’s because we hardly know each other names so everyone sticks with their clique all the times. It can be so enjoyable when we cracked jokes together. Tt’s including the photo-taking session. Haha.
Anyway, went down to Bukit Panjang Plaza to meet Sherlyn for lunch. I think that shopping in Bukit Panjang Plaza is so much better than shopping in West Mall la. I bought new bra (ops), polo tees for my dad and one Esprit handphone strap for just 5 bucks! They are having a sale and the original price was $19.90! Den headed to her house and slack before going to Ikea. That was a last min and a sudden decision too.

Sigh. My dream of renting a car is being destroyed by my mum. She doesn’t allow me to rent as she felt it wasn’t safe for me to drive alone and that I rent for no purpose. But the purpose is so clear enough isn’t it? I want to rent so that I can drive, familiarize with the road and practice my driving skills. She said there is no need to rush since I just got my license only. She wants me to rent during CNY where my dad will be sitting beside me and able to direct me along.
The main points are she doesn’t want me to drive alone and that I’m still a 1 month 21 days old driver. Damn it. But it’s not like she will let me drive after 1 year lor. Den what the use of getting a license when I’m not allowed to drive?!
I asked my dad about it. He got no objection but just find the rental rate high. So do your know what he told me?
“You go to the driving centre, say you will pay them the 1hr rate just to let you drive around and practice your driving skills.”
Thanks ah.
There goes my black Mazda 3 SP. ARGH.

Got home around 9.30pm yesterday as we need to stay back to do our IS – Human Communication presentation which is on today. I’m only left with 1 more presentation – RMW Role-play! YES, FINALLY! I’m sick of doing projects and staying back late in school. I need a rest by sleeping early and waking up late! Shall TRY it tonight since I got no school tml.
Feel like uploading video on my Human Comm project. Haha. We did one commercial on Nescafe which is totally not related to our theme but just for fun and to add up some amusement to our game show. I shall upload the advertisement when I feel like doing so. LOL.

Shit. My mum only washed my uniform today and I need it tml! The top will definitely dry before I went to work but my bottom NOOO! My bottom is freaking thick and is made from cotton. I think it will need 1.5 days to dry. How?
I have an extra bottom but its M size. I don’t want to wear it as S size looks so baggy on me already. What should I do other than putting it inside the microwave? Ha.

Just realized I have not posted anything in this new 2008. Let me do a recap.
On 31/12 – New Year eve, I went out with Sherlyn, Loretta, Joyce, Songwee & Shi Xiong to countdown. Not at Sentosa but in Liquid Kitchen at Bt Timah. Haha. I’m getting old so I couldn’t take the excitement anymore, squeezing with thousands of people while waiting for the countdown. Lol. Had a great time chatting, drinking and playing Indian Poker with my friends. I was surprised to find my friend there too. We were still chatting in the msn that afternoon and asking each other what programs we have at night. Ha. Such a coincidence. Anyway, piggy was there too!
After the “yam-sheng” session (Liquid Kitchen way of counting down to 2008), we sabotage Loretta by singing a birthday song for her. Lol! That was funny! Haha. So minutes before Liquid Kitchen closes, the bartender prepared a drink – Lamborghini for her. *TO SHERLYN: the “some drink with fire on it” is called FLAMING LAMBORGHINI. Just in case your head is still spinning, this is a DRINK. The bartender did not give Loretta a CAR. Haha.
I din got the chance to taste it as I was outside chatting with another friend. Sigh. Piggy told me that Lamborghini contains high alcoholic content and he warned me that light drinkers should not try it. So he was indirectly saying that he’s a heavy drinker? Ha.
01/01/08 – Working as usual and went out for supper after work. Ben & Jerry at Dempsey with piggy!
02/01 – Went to school for IBS lecture. Ahem. I can’t believe that I’m obedient as I attended the lecture despite that this week is an e-learning week. After lecture, went to send my dress for alteration at Beauty World before heading home to do e-learning work and prepare for my WISP presentation on Thursday.
03/01 – Had our WISP presentation. Glad it’s over even though most of my classmates don’t understand what exactly happened in Dafur. Supposed to stay for my human comm proj but went off to prepare for my IBS solution selling call which is on Friday.
04/01 – Solution selling call done and over. Yay!
